CHILDREN and YOUTH AT DISCOVERY

Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me” (Mark 9:37). Children are important to God, and they’re important to us, too!

We offer classes for children ages 1—12 where they learn about God and the Bible using curriculum especially designed for their age group.

The following age—based classes are offered during every Sunday worship service at Discovery:

      • Explorers: children ages 1—4. This class is available for the entire service and is located in room 103. There is also an Infant’s Corner for parents taking care of infants ages 0—1 in the Explorers’ classroom.
      • Adventurers: for children in Kindergarten—2nd Grade. Children sit in the worship service with their parents until they are excused to go to this class with their teachers. Adventurers classroom is located in room 104-05.
      • Navigators: for children in 3rd—6th grade. Children sit in the worship service with their parents until they are excused to go to class with their teacher. Navigators classroom is located in room 106.

We have implemented these measures to ensure that your children are safe and accounted for:

      • Upon your child’s first visit to Discovery, we require parents/caretakers sign in their children at the Welcome Desk
      • Children must be checked-in every week at the Welcome Desk or the DiscoveryKidz check-in center and wear their printed labels throughout the entire service.
      • Your child will not be dismissed from their classroom until you pick them up using your matching check-in label.
      • All of our children’s workers are required to have background checks.
We are committed to providing a safe, comfortable atmosphere for your children to discover Christ, Community, and Mission!

Youth Group

Discovery’s Youth Group is for teenagers in 7th-12th grade. We meet every Sunday at 10:30am in the Youth Room for fellowship and bible study. We also enjoy various events throughout the year. Through these gatherings we hope to encourage our youth to grow in their relationship with God and each other.
